The Media Orchard brand was launched in 2005 as an idiosyncratic marketing blog that emerged as a favorite among prominent industry voices such as Steve Rubel, Brian Solis, Brian Clark, Todd Defren and Shel Israel, and was frequently cited by websites ranging from Romenesko to Gawker, Adrants to Daily Kos.
From the beginning, Media Orchard has served as a platform for effective content marketing, as the blog’s success — in traffic, influence and search position — drove the genesis and growth of Idea Grove, a national PR and marketing agency with a focus on enterprise technology clients.
With the expansion of Idea Grove, Media Orchard developed into a multi-author agency blog, and Idea Grove founder Scott Baradell decided to create Media Orchard Too, a second, more personal site, in 2013.
Also in 2013, Scott launched Media Orchard LLC as a freestanding entity dedicated to publishing content marketing websites attracting audiences with interest in marketing and technology-related topics. As owned media, native advertising and branded content continue to grow in importance to marketers, Media Orchard LLC aims to follow in the tradition of the original Media Orchard blog in creating innovative content that earns audiences for brands.
